After the giddy time of the Gemini we need a rest! the Zodiac now brings us the Water Sign Cancer.

As the people of this sign are ruled by water we see a caring and gentle soul who prefer to go unnoticed than be the centre of attention. Sensitive and traditional, these people love history and art and are often quite creative. Family is of the up most importance to these little darlings, and they always try and keep their family as tight a unit as is possible especially in our modern society where the family isn't appreciated as much as it once was. Cancer will love inviting everyone round and cooking up a lovely meal for one and all to enjoy. Naturally caring and nurturing this person will go to great lengths to make sure friend's and family are happy and well and if they are not then he/she will make it so.

To an outsider one may think that the Cancer person is rock strong and may not notice that they are really so sensitive, like their crab counterparts they have a strong outer armour and keep things well locked up inside to protect their deep sensitivity and emotions.

Their negative side, as there invariably is to us all, is that they can be a touch clingy. Family is so important to them they don't like letting go at all and when it's time for the children to fly the nest, if they move too far away from home, they may find themselves on the rather unpleasant and more moody side of this otherwise floaty creature.

13th Sign Of The Zodiac

Ophiuchus the 13th sign of the Zodiac ; also known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder.

The constellation Ophiuchus has been known about since ancient times, but you wouldn't know it.
It was never added to the Zodiac chart as astrologers said that the Sun went straight from Scorpius into Sagittarius, disregarding the fact that the sun travelled through Ophiuchus for 19 days before entering Sagittarius.
Basically then what that means is that there is another sign! a lost sign.
Serpentarius is it's name which would bring us perhaps lots of Serpentariuns?

As for the characteristics of this sign?
It is hard to say really, for me anyway. If anyone has any ideas on this or indeed knowledge I would love to hear about it, so let me know!! :)

Chinese Astrology ~ 2007 Year Of The Pig.

This year there will be lots of piglets born into our society. If you are due to have your baby this year then congratulations!! Pig's make great children. They are good natured and will always have a good appetite; in fact best make sure your cupboards are stocked well!
You won't have any trouble with getting them to sleep either. Have a party while their in bed, they won't notice! Your little Piglet will be loyal and one of those darlings’s who will look after you into your old age. He/she will be both generous and rich as an adult, now who doesn’t want that for their children? Exactly. So you can relax during your pregnancy. While everyone is telling you horror stories of their endless sleepless nights and other horrific details, you can rest easy knowing that your baby is going to be delightful.
Pigs are curious and honest. They are tolerant of others and if a friend for life is needed these are the people for the job. They are loyal and lovely little darlings!
If you can imagine a knight on his noble stead riding around facing danger to protect others, well that knight is probably a pig. They believe in good over evil. But, however are sometimes a little naive and truly believe that even though they have been made a fool of on several occasions for their idealistic ways, that all people are in fact pure of heart like themselves.
These people are optimistic, stubbornly so. They despise arguing but are quick to get fired up; luckily they are just as quick at cooling down!
Pigs always seem to wallow in luxury. All the pig's I have known over the years have always had the best of things. And even if they didn't you wouldn't know it.
Their homes are always furnished in a luxurious way, filled with books and soft cushions. Also I have never gone to a Pig friend's house without having some kind of alcoholic beverage placed in my hand soon after I have walked through the door.
Yes, these people like the material in life. The biggest, the best. Shopping? Ohh yes. If you go on a shopping trip with a Pig prepare not to be going home until the last shop has locked its door...and maybe even had to ask you to leave!!
When it comes to other's birthdays and Christmas, these people love it! Being highly generous AND having a love for shopping, Pig's are in their element.
Pigs are thirsty for knowledge. They love reading and would rather hide behind a book than have to sit and "small talk" for hours. However, if the subjects of conversation should hit the piggy's interest then he/she will take delight in conversing into the wee hours of the morning.

Here comes Gemini!!

Can you hear that noise? giggling? It’s OK; it's the time of the Gemini's!
I am a Gemini and I have to say for the most part I enjoy being one. It isn't always easy, people tend to want to squash your childish ways and make you adhere to their more sensible ones. This is both annoying and hard to understand. People always want Gemini to grow up! A common misconception is that Geminian's are two faced. This does annoy me so as it is my belief that being two faced is a common fault in a lot of people. We are not two faced; we merely like to talk ... a lot!! The fact is we are more than one person. And more than two. The best person I can use to describe this is the Actor Johnny Depp, as he is a Gemini. I don't think acting comes that hard to him; he is simply accentuating all his own characteristics and exaggerating them into different characters. Thus we have one of the all time great actors. Not that I am taking his acting ability away from him you understand, just simply applying astrology to it. He has chosen the right career for his sign, something that would be nice for us all! It is not because I am one myself; I just enjoy watching Gemini people. They seem to stand out more than most signs. The easiest way to tell a Gemini is not in a child's playground, as children are meant to be playful. It is middle aged people whom are supposed to be mature and responsible. The Gemini adult is the one who is still being less conventional, still laughing in the wrong places, getting great joy out of embarrassing their children (which is awful as we know how it is to be a shy and embarrassed child) and basically has a child like charm about them and an annoying youthful look. Of course other signs can look youthful, but not in quite the same elfish way as Gemini. Like for instance my Dad. Undoubtedly the most remarkable person I know. I was terribly embarrassed of him when I was a child for the way he dressed and how he felt the need to say good morning to everyone that walked past him. However, he is my inspiration. He has been through so much in the last year, serious operations on his spine; things that would make a lot of people give up. But he is still standing...not only standing but going to the gym, swimming, and working!! And most of all, through it all, smiling his big welcoming smile! And yes, a Gemini. He is 74 on the 29th May. And doesn't look a day over 60! So there you have it. Oh and another thing about us Gemini's, we often start something knowing 100% what it is going to be about, then when we read back through we discover that not one word was as planned. This Blog was meant to be about the next month, and how it belongs to the sign of the Gemini. Still, maybe some of you will be able to sift through my ramblings and make some sense of it. And I bet I'll know who those will be!

How I believe Astrology can help your life.

Living with Astrology
Many people regard Astrology in many different ways. And some people of course don't regard it at all. I, however, live with it on a daily basis. I have ignored it on occasions and realised after certain events took place that I should have followed my instincts and gone with what I had learnt over the years instead of listening to close minded people.
So, after much thought and vacillating I let Astrology into my life completely. It helps. It really helps.
It helped me find myself, who I really am. It has helped me understand others around me so much better and forced me into being more patient with others habits. As well as understanding how frustrating my own can be! Astrology has let me work out my children and give them the help they need for who they are. I now understand there characteristics far better thus have learned how to help each of them individually.
I truly believe that it can improve our lives. The brilliant thing I have found is that you can try and alter the bits that may not be so becoming. Like my patience for instance!! It helps us to become aware of both faults and positive traits thus enabling us to motivate and alter correctly. Even down to the work place. I knew I could never be happy working the mundane grind of being in an office as I myself am a Gemini. And it has taken me years to finally settle with something. I have recently been introduced to copy writing and I feel I have now found my place.
Compatibility
I don't think that although we are all more compatible with some signs than we are with others, that we should shun people from different elements. Instead it can help us to understand people better. Especially in relationships. I used to panic if I met a guy who wasn’t on my list of suitable Star Signs! This probably made the whole thing worse as I was constantly waiting for things to go wrong then being able to say “ha! Yes that is because we are not astrologically compatible" which in my opinion is using Astrology in the wrong way.
Saying that, I have however noticed in many observations over several years that people do tend to UN knowingly pick people from the Signs and elements that are more aligned to them. Often I have asked people who have been friends for many years what signs they are and more often than not they are compatible. Of course there are those who are not, who tend to flair up into great arguments, but learning why half the battle to conquering it is. I had a friend once who was a Scorpio, and we were great friends, but we seemed to have a repel and attract relationship! As we actually had not very much in common so in the end just got on because of our differences!! Sun Signs
The sun sign is the most common and probably most talked about sign regarding the Western Zodiac. The majority of people know their sun sign for e.g. whether they are an Aries or a Capricorn. But many people don't get much further than that! Astrology is I think a fascinating subject that can bring knowledge and insight into one's life. It always baffles people when you describe the main characteristics of their sun sign to them they look at you in amazement.
